I have to say, the IAP9253BS is taking a bit of getting used to, after my previous IN9953BPL. The good news is that the display and audio are excellent, but other aspects are disappointing. 1. The music app really needs improving: especially the selection screen. Having to scroll through a long list of folders in alphabetical album order—with no other options—is most tedious. The app feels half-finished and unrefined. 2. The lack of boot screens, while it seems a minor niggle, is compounded by the still unresolved difficulty in selecting an uploaded custom image. 3. Many, many glitches, especially around the messy start-up routine: apps opening, unbidden, with obtrusive alerts inviting me to choose which app to allocate to a particular USB port. "Remembered" decisions that the unit doesn’t remember..! And a few more onboard themes, perhaps drawn from your other head units, would have been an easy, inexpensive and welcome addition. Once it’s up and running the IAP9253BS is generally fine, not as untuitive as the earlier IN9953BPL, but (sort of) okay. As previously stated, the image and sound are both excellent, but overall the user interface feels like a beta version that’s been rushed to market.
