“A great head unit at a reasonable price - many on eBay are cheaper but don’t be fooled, this is the real deal: it’s snappy, fast and responsive; it works with your in-car controls out of the box so it only takes a few minutes to get your steering wheel column programmed in; one quick set-up is all it takes for your phone to automatically connect to CarPlay or Android Auto every time you start the car; and the most important bit: it looks great too - it’s taken years off the inside of my noughties-era Ford Focus with its bright screen and Ford factory-style finish, and has drawn a number of compliments from friends - one said it almost looks like a new car! Sound quality will depend on the speakers you have in your car but even if you have original speakers like me, this unit will certainly elevate the quality of the audio you hear and may surprise you. I find the audio quality to be crisp, clear and the bass and stereo pan is nice to notice after just having a factory radio/CD player installed prior to this. Installation is easy even for a relative novice like myself - the box comes with keys to remove your existing radio/CD player and all the cables to plug into your car. Once all that’s done, just push it into the fascia and it locks into place. If you need help, the internet is sure to provide you with additional guidance and an easy-to-follow manual is there to help you find your feet with the system should you need it. This head unit is proof that you don’t need a new car to experience CarPlay and Android Auto in all their niceness - I’ve already recommended Xtrons to a friend with a similar Ford with an oval-shaped radio. Go for it - you won’t regret it.”
