“I have ordered from ZenMed before and have never had any problems. The products I have used are good. The order typically comes quickly and without incident. This time, however, there were several service-related problems that need to be addressed. I recently submitted an order and received a quick confirmation, per usual. One week later, I had heard nothing about shipping, which in my experience was unusual, so I sent an email inquiring about shipment. In response, I was told that one item in my order was backordered, and that is why my order had not yet shipped. I was given a vague idea of when the item would be available (several weeks?), and was eagerly advised that they would be happy to cancel my entire order. Overlooking the fact that no one had bothered to let me know that my order was held up until I reached out, I asked if the rest of the order could be shipped now, and the backordered item could be shipped when it became available. This is a common business practice. However, I was told this was not possible, with no explanation. Once again, the customer service representative cheerfully advised that she would be happy to cancel my entire order. Iâ€:tm:m not sure why the representatives were so eager to cancel my order but unwilling or unable to make simple and common shipping adjustments. I then asked if the backordered item could just be removed from my order, so as to release the other items shipping. Eventually, another service representative told me she had to confer with a manager to determine if this was possible (really??), and she said they would do that for me. I got the feeling they felt that they were doing me a favor. Then I was told that I would be immediately refunded for the canceled item. Three weeks later, still no refund on my credit card. After several more emails and days later, the refunded finally showed up on my account. I have not had service problems with ZenMed in the past, so I am hoping that this experience was an anomaly.”
