“Followed the instruction manual that came with the 150’ DIY kit. Purchased a $30 trolley on Amazon. Ours was placed over a pond with sloping banks. Only had a tree on one side, so we used the sling and a quick link on the tree side (high side). On the low side we dug a 30” deep, 15” wide concrete pier with re-rod, and used a 5/8” eye bolt (24” long with nuts and washers on it) sticking just out of the top of the concrete. Used another quick link on the eye bolt, along with the turn buckle. Purchased a 2000lb come-along on Amazon plus a cable grabber to tighten it from the low side. After finishing the setup, we used 3 five gallon buckets of the dugout clay, with water added, hooked to a chain to hang from the trolley for testing. It was nearly 200lb. Then we started using it. The pier was high enough on the bank so we could touch down at waters edge and still use our feet to slow down as we ran up the bank. When we jumped off into the water it sometimes got tangled in the middle because we have a tow rope on it. But using a nylon tow rope makes it possible to tow it to the top even when it’s tangled. The tow rope was 100 ft. 1/4” rope. We always align the tow rope along the pond bank before the ride. We also 2 adults (320lbs) ride it together which was a lot but worked ok.”
“If you are mechanically minded and good with tools this is a great way to go. I needed to make an extra safety sling, got the parts put it together easy enough. Otherwise buy the pre assembled kits.”
“The package arrived quickly, it contains everything you need to get started, and the quality of the material is outstanding. Couldn't be happier with my purchase!”
