I am completely disgusted by the service I received from DHL Germany. I entrusted them with a 31.5 kg package containing my personal belongings — and they lost it. Not only did they fail to locate it after several weeks, but they also offered me a pathetic refund, far less than the actual value of things inside. They didn’t even have the courtesy to pay the standard €500 coverage (for uninsured shipments). This was also a domestic shipment!!
They simply told me the package is lost and that I should be satisfied with the amount refunded — without any transparency, accountability, or a real apology.
For a company that operates internationally and is supposed to represent trust and reliability, this experience has been deeply disappointing. It’s not just the financial loss, but the complete lack of responsibility and customer care that is shocking.
I will never use DHL again for any important shipments, and I urge others to be cautious. You might think your package is insured or safe — until it disappears and you’re left with nothing but frustration.
