Last night I tried to register and place an order for Click and Collect as a Senior Citizen customer of Aldi of many years standing. I managed to get a slot and eventually to order most of which I required and went to checkout. Then the problems started!
- my payment of £34 was declined
- thinking I had entered an incorrect number I started again
- payment declined told to contact my bank for a passcode
- phoned bank who cannot issue said code as ido not have a mobile!
- phoned Aldi who told me that I must have this as I am a new customer!
- asked my daughter for help and she entered her details but my address
- got to payment and it keeps coming up with the Sheppey Store Kent, when we are in Bexhill East Sussex - a 250 mile round trip?
Would a farce. Do you not want customers - I am not the only person in the UK without a mobile, why are you discriminating against me by preventing me from availing myself of this service when I am a Vulnerable Person during this pandemic?
Shame on you Aldi
