I purchased a heat pump dryer from Appliances Online during a June sale, fully accepting a delayed delivery date in July. Just two days before it was meant to arrive, I was informed the new delivery date is in September. They offered a replacement, but it was clearly an inferior product: worse user reviews, less reputable brand, and lower specifications. Despite their policy of offering an equivalent or better product when the original is unavailable, what they offered didn’t come close. When I pointed this out, I received the usual scripted fluff about how important customer satisfaction is and how they would “conduct an internal review.” No resolution, no accountability - just empty words. Then came the kicker: the exact same dryer I originally purchased were still advertised on their website - priced $400 more and showing an August delivery date. That’s a month earlier than the new date they gave me. When I queried this, they removed the listing altogether. This experience raises serious concerns about how Appliances Online handles pricing, inventory, and customer service. I feel misled, ignored, and frankly, treated with contempt as a customer who simply wanted what I paid for. I won’t be shopping with Appliances Online again, and I strongly suggest anyone considering them proceed with caution - or better yet, look elsewhere.
