They'll take your money, delver the item then stonewall you if you have any issues with the item. - Bought a $5,000 TV in December, had a dying panel within 2 months. - AO say they wont replace, and need to wait until Samsung tell them what to do (this is a direct violation of ACCC rules - they can't push you off to the manufacturer yet AO happy to do this) - samsung say a dying panel is only a minor fault, only offer replacement (this is to avoid the costly alternative of replacing the tv) - AO customer "service" says they can't do anything, but "escalate" to samsung again - nothing happens, depsite 3x AO "escalations" - now stuck with a dying $5000 tv that AO won't replace and samsung seemingly happy to just ignore. - Go to NSW fair trading, AO rep 'Krishelle Richards' tells NSW fair trading that AO are all good, don't need to replace - AO reps 'Bri' and 'Ruby' refuse to offer any assistance beyond a samsung escalation (which reminder literally goes nowhere; i'm doubtful it ever even happened) Don't fall for the '5-star customer service' marketing spew. It's nothing more than just marketing. The INSTANT you have an issue they will hide behind their email and refuse to offer any assistance in line Australian consumer standards. Don't bother buying anything or decent value (or anything at all really). You have other options such as Good Guys, JB HiFi, Harvey Norman; a physical store with actual people. AO, to me at least, is only marginally better than a scam company. I've no doubt there are other customers that AO have done this to. Like me, you should not only lodge a complaint with NSW fair trading, but also the ACCC and AO's partners. Additionally, 1-star review them here, and also on FB, Product Review, Trust Pilot, Google Maps and more. Let everyone know that dodgy, scummy practices don't go unpunished.

Purchased a dishwasher on 3 March. At checkout you are able to choose a delivery date of 16 April. It does not say this is an estimated delivery date so we assumed the date they let you pick is the day you get the product. So 16th April rolls around and no delivery update. I am advised that no it is not in stock and I might get it on the 7th May. Claimed someone left a voice message (they didn't) and blamed me for thinking it would be delivered on the day I chose. Offered me an inferior product as a swap. Have since been advised there is no delivery date and they have no idea when they will get it. They are still selling this product on their website and do not even have an ETA.

When you buy a product that is obviously faulty from the day of installation. The first day my laundry flooded during the first cycle required before first use. The repair guy said should it happen again, appliances online will replace the faulty product. You should be aware that when the "new"washing machine floods your laundry room 4 times in 60 days, the company informed me that after 30 days it's no longer their problem. A brand new expensive Bosch washing machine has the life span of 60 days, then you will need to buy another one but from a more reputable company and definitely not the latest Bosch series front loader. Unfortunately I didn't get too many pictures of the flooding, I was too busy throwing down every towel I owned to try dry up some of the water avoid damaging to my newly renovated laundry room. I tried to resolve it and I was trying to be reasonable and I explained the urgency of the machine given the need but all they kept saying was the 30 days were over and that angered me. Had they told me I only had 30 days I would have actioned something but $1800+ for something that can't survive 60 days, it was my most expensive washing machine ever owned , however, the staff then told me to go ahead and report them to the Australian consumer protection as they were no longer responsible since the 30 days of having.I do not believe they will take any responsibility on delivering a defective machine. When life is expensive enough without having to buy a new expensive washing machine every 60 days, I do believe some human decency towards a customer would have been appreciated.

Purchased an oven and grill was expecting it delivered the next day got a text telling me it wine delivered between 10.30am and 12.30pm then 30 minutes later received another text to say it would be delivered between 1.57 and 3.57pm. As I purchased the item to be installed at another property for a customer at 3.30pm I called the contact number at 10am to explain that time structure wouldn’t suit and I could come and take delivery of the oven from the truck wherever the truck was in Perth. Was told the driver would contact me and see what he could do to no avail , don’t seem to have any customer service extending to delivery drivers still waiting on a call back from the driver. Did call the main number again and was told that the driver would probably arrive around 5pm, so they are glad to take your money for the items you purchased but that is the end of there customer service. Won’t be using them again. James.

I would rate a zero stars if I could. My oven arrived faulty with the fan hitting the inside of the oven, some damage to a tray and 25 to 30 baby flies that came out of it after it was installed. It took 2 months for a replacement!!!!! No oven over December and January. I sent emails to two different people with a video of the problem and pics immediately only find out weeks later nothing had been done about them. Follow ups were poor or non existent. I had to keep contacting them to try and get something done. No one cared. They need to update their practices for when things go wrong and expedite the processes. It was a complete mess. Everything went wrong. I would never recommend Appliances Online. The delivery drivers were great though.

Unfortunately, the installation was not done properly. The rangehood is not securely fixed to the wall, is unstable, and requires rework.

Shocking. Worst on-line purchase. It's been 4 weeks and I don't have a refund or a washing machine.

The buying process and delivery were good however my phone number was inundated with spam calls withing an hour of buying from their website. Customer service was very unhelpful and kept talking over me while repeating that it could not have come from their system. The number is over 20 years old. My other phone number that I use for all my usual online purchases has also never had an issue with spam calls.

First & only time. Never again I received my TV and mount after battling the online store - recommended mounts were out of stock. The delivery process a nightmare and the soundbar was on backorder and subsequently discontinued - that's right after I placed the order for it. I question their inventory management & business practices as they appear to be selling items that aren't available.

Purchased a dryer in July this year, it stopped working after approx 6 weeks. Had only used about 6 times?? requested a replacement but was told they only replace if within 14 days. Then had to make a warranty claim through a third party. Waited several days for technician to inspect the dryer and he confirmed a faulty control board. He requested a replacement instead of repair but was denied by third party (Tempo) Further phone call to Appliances Online who again flicked pass to third party. And you can guess how much fun it was communicating with off shore call centre. Seller should be responsible when selling poor quality product?? If you purchase from Appliances online hopefully nothing goes wrong. Now 6 weeks without a dryer we purchased new. Terrible experience with this purchase. l Invoice Number : Appliances Online invoice SI08261191Return Claim Made: No

Innacurate techical advice and lazy customer service I purchased the product and installation in advance and waited two weeks for the technician to come install a rangehood. Once arrived, he quickly told me the distance between the stove and rangehood doesn't meet the regulation so he couldn't do it and offered to retrofit the kitchen for additional quote. I told him and the call team multiple times that our house is 15 years old and that these new rules don't apply. They wouldn't listen and were quick to reject and ignore me! When they finally sent me the regulation document, the required distance was 60cm which is what we have. So they wasted my time by not even botheting to check the doc and providing a wrong advice, which caused so much stress trying to convence someone who don't want to listen . They obviously have no legislation knowledge for their own products and don't want to take the time investigate or enquire. Lazy and frustrating customer service and technical team lacks knowledge and expertise.
