Dropped my car off at my local Arnold Clark on a Sunday evening after being recovered by Green Flag. Tensioner was faulty and the drive belt had snapped. Returned to the garage this morning to organise getting the car booked in only to be told they would not be able to even have a look at it until September 7th. Staff member's attitude was very poor and she was very rude indeed. She said that I could leave it with them and they may or may not be able to look at it before that date. She asked what was the issue and after telling her she said I would need to pay £130 upfront for diagnostics. After informing her what the issue was and assuring her there was no damage to the engine she said that I would need to pay another £100+ for an engine check. I called an independent garage who recovered my car for me, carried out the job in a matter of hours and charged me £170 for all work and parts. I dread to think how much my bill would have been from AC, do not use this company!!
