After pausing my subscription for a month, I expected at the very least an email reminder before being charged again. But no, the subscription quietly reactivated, and I was billed without warning. When I reached out on the day the payment was taken to cancel, I was met with a long-winded, patronising response pointing me to the small print of their Terms & Conditions (much like they do in their replies to the 1 star reviews here on Trustpilot) as if that excuses poor communication.
To make things worse, Beer52 requires a phone call to cancel your subscription, a deliberately inconvenient and outdated process clearly designed to discourage cancellations. This is not standard practice in 2025 and feels intentionally shady.
The tone of the reply I received was defensive and dismissive. No ownership, no apology for the poor customer experience, just a lot of screenshots and red tape.
