've had a very disappointing experience with Beer52. I ordered an advent calendar and then called within hours of the order to cancel it but was told it had already been dispatched and that I would have to wait for it to arrive, return it at the post office, and pay for the return shipping. I brought the package to the Royal Mail office the day it arrived to send it back and the employee there told me I wouldn't need any other documentation as it had been scanned in.
I contacted the company to let them know it had been returned at the first person I spoke to said it was fine and I would be refunded and then I received an email from a different person saying that I would only be refunded if I had proof of postage, which I did not.
It has been almost a month since I sent the package back and somehow it has not been received, not sure how a huge box of 24 beers can go missing. I have continued to have inefficient and disappointing with multiple Beer52 staff and they have essentially said there is nothing they can do so I am now out 70 pounds and have no beer to show for it.
I understand that it is not the company's fault if Royal Mail lost or broke the parcel but given my sincere desire to cancel the order and my consistent communication of that fact, I would have thought that I would be offered a refund. Will not be buying from Beer52 again and will not be recommending it to others.
