Bensons for beds what an absolute joke of a company we ordered a new bed and mattress early Jan which cost over £2500 from Bensons in Ayr was told that the bed ould come last wed so we got rid of our old bed on the Monday no sign of the bed on wed so I rang to find out when it was coming nobly to be told that there was a problem with the bed and that it would not be here until next Thursday "today"
After 2 hrs on the phone to "customer services" was told that we should buy a blow up mattress to do us for the next 8 nights and they would refund us...
After being passed from pillar to post and each department blaming the other we were told that they would find us a temporary bed which they would deliver the next day the men would build it and once our bed arrives they take away the temp bed and build they new bed.
Fast forward to today the guys arrived with the new bed only to say that they would not take away the old bed as they knew nothing about it and would certainly not build the new bed.
After 2 hrs on the phone to customer services and to the store manger in Ayr we are then told that we should never have been told that they would take away the bed on the same day and they will not build the new bed.
So I come home to find the new mattress dumped on my stairs and about 10 boxes left around the house, the place looks as though we have been burgled.
We are then told that they would send a courier which they would not charge us for but they would not be here until tomorrow not good enough as I will be in work and my partner will be in hospital.
I explained that this is not good enough I told them that it had to be collected tonight was then told that a courier would come tonight only then to be told that the bed would not be collected until sat.
Apparently it is not there fault and they are doing their "best"
So the situation is left that the store manager Christine said she would call us back to rectify the situation and get the bed collected tomorrow...
Only then to be told that it would be sat we said that this is not good enough and we will cancel and go somewhere else for a bed for her response to be "that's fine" she then hung the phone up on us.
I would urge anyone that wants a good customer service and a good night sleep do NOT give Bensons for beds your money..Oh we were also told that we would be subject to a 20% cancellation fee.
Raging is not the word this is the first and VERY last time I will give benson a penny.
then to top it off when we opened our new bed one the side panels is covered from head to toe in mould and I am not taking a small amount, it is covered the bed must have been sitting in wet for months in order to acquire this amount of mould
