I bought a 150cm mattress natural premium wool, which was delivered 07-02-2025 from bensons Doncaster.It is now 7 months and there still is this repulsive smell exuding from the mattress this permeates all the bedding and all the air in the bedroom. I’ve aired and turned the mattress as instructed and regularly changed the bedding. I called customer services and they sent someone out, he confirmed that there was a smell and said it should dissipate after a few more months after it had degassed, whatever that means.He said that all beds gave off this smell to which I commented my tempur one hadn’t he replied that they sorted it out before they deliver them . I have had to endure this unpleasant smell and endless washing of bedding for all this time and they have just said it’s a natural occurrence. If Tempur can get rid of the smell before delivery why can’t Slumberland and stop people like myself having to put up with this after paying over £800 pounds. I would never recommend Bensons to anyone or go into their store again .
