My mum bought a mattress from Benson Beds this past November (2018), after a month there was a dip forming. By January the dip was quite significant. I contacted their customer services and could not get through via phone so emailed, which they did not respond to. I then posted on their facebook page and eventually they messaged me back, I sent photos and they first stated a dip is a natural part of the mattress settling in! I said no, that is a sign of an old mattress, which offers no support for a fragile 81 year old! They referred it to FIRA is come and inspect the mattress, this was over a week ago, I rang today to chase it and they said Bensons did not give them the correct telephone number, but funnily enough they emailed straight after to confirm a date for 5th March, so they could of contacted me that way! It just feels like they are dragging their heels, this appointment is over two weeks away, then a further wait for a response and all I can say is they better replace the mattress otherwise I will be contacting Which. My mum has osteo arthritis and the mattress is making it more difficult as she is now having to sleep on the edge of the bed! Having to sleep on her side Is also effecting her breathing as she also has COPD. This is an absolute disgrace, not just in the qualityif the mattress but in how they are dealing with it.
