I ordered a 6 door wardrobe for delivery in London. 1 white door has a pimple on the surface. 3 of the internal shelves were damaged, though still usable.
I have a 3rd party install it, and the damage was not seen until they unpacked. This was on the 5th day after delivery (due to a weekend when the fitters could not work).
I reported it immediately both by phone, and then I sent through pictures. 5 weeks after sending the email (and receiving a automated response), I have heard...nothing
I rang up Bensons 2 weeks after sending the email - Bensons challenged my timelines for reporting the issue - NOTE - they said if damage is not reported in 5 days, then you have no rights
I questioned why I have to report an issue in 5 days, but Bensons can happily take weeks or never respond. Total contradiction and hypocrisy.
When I rang, and re-supplied the details, I was informed I would receive a text message confirmation, and then after the text message, the replacement parts will take 6-10 weeks. So far, several weeks after the phone call...no text message
I attempted again to ring Bensons - got an automated message that customer services was unavailable - try again later
What a useless organisation. I will not buy anything from then again, and advise others not to.
