How I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing my bed and mattress. I believe sensible people actually take reviews on board when making any purchases and I am amazed that Bensons have not tried something to resolve these dreadful reviews but they keep coming!!
We ordered a bed and mattress on a Wednesday on line, the email confirmed our order and delivery would be 21 days. Next morning I received a text to say mattress would be delivered Friday!!! So I called and rearranged this.
Bed turned up fine on a Thursday and we put it together before the mattress arrived the next day.
Upon opening the mattress box we were horrified to find a huge tear down the middle of it.
I tried to call Bensons, was on hold for 45 minutes, so ended up emailing.
I tried calling again the next day, 45 minutes still no answer so hung up.
I finally got hold of them the next day and they advised that they would send a new mattress out and collect the old one.
That was over a month ago!
Yesterday they called me to say they would be delivering it tomorrow but not collect it as - I HAD PUT A KNIFE DOWN MY OWN BRAND NEW MATTRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What on earth would I do that for? I think the customer service girl thinks I must walk around with a flick knife or carving knife in my pocket!!!! I was so upset by this accusation that I ended up asking on twitter for the MD to call me.... I spoke to a lady on the exec board and I am now at home currently waiting for a new mattress to be delivered and old one taken away...... its 10.47am and I am getting nervous that it won't happen!!!!
This company is horrendous - they have blocked me from twitter due to my constant tweets on how bad they were, but if they did there job properly and employed some decent customer service agents a lot of the complaints would go away!
For someone to actually accuse me of taking a knife to a mattress is simply unforgivable and slander!
