Extremely disappointing experience.
Van crew had an off-hand attitude which was almost guaranteed to inflame. I was attempting to donate 2 identical settees and a chair. Because of an obvious clerical error in the manifest which omitted to say there were 2 of them they flatly refused to take the second settee. To make things worse they refused point blank to call anyone to try to resolve the issue. It was like talking to a pair of robots.
The second issue was that I tried to donate a (brand new) kitchen cabinet. They refused to take this because it was a wall mounted unit. They then enter into a load of technobabble about the difference between a cupboard and a cabinet.
I also blame the person at BHF that dealt with this collection. They sent me no communication confirming what I was donating. The error in the number of settees could have been resolved prior to collection. In 9 issue of what constitutes a cupboard could have been resolved.
Due to lack of space as these items were occupying my only parking place, I have had to destroy both of them to take them to the tip as they are too big to go in my car if intact.
I will not be doing anything for BHF in future.
