I have been a loyal Birkenstock customer for over 20 years and have purchased many shoes over the years, always being satisfied with the quality. This time, however, I have been deeply disappointed. On July 25, 2025, I purchased a pair of Birkenstock flip-flops at the Marrakesh (Marjane) store. After only one week and wearing them a maximum of three times, the toe post was already bent – in my opinion, clearly a manufacturing defect. On August 1, 2025, I returned to the store with my receipt to report the issue and request an exchange. The sales assistant took photos and said she would consult the store manager. I never received a reply, despite sending several follow-up messages over the next week. Only after I left a negative review for the store did I suddenly receive a response within ten minutes – blaming me repeatedly for the damage and claiming it was “my fault,” even though I had no accident and had barely worn the shoes. I also tried to contact Birkenstock’s customer service directly via email but never received any reply. I am honestly shocked by how unprofessional and unfriendly the service has been. From a brand like Birkenstock, I expected professionalism, goodwill, and at least respectful communication. Sadly, I was treated poorly and cannot recommend their customer service at all.
