I questioned one of the staff with regard to the service history and previous ownership of the vehicle I was about to place a holding deposit on
I also questioned the mileage as the advert stated 15,00 miles but the photo showed 11,078 miles - the lady said it must have been a mistake and the photo must be the correct mileage
She took my details and said someone would come back to me regarding ownership & service history
Later on Monday evening one of Car Shop representatives called to check when I intended to come down to view the car - I told him Wednesday - he said Wednesday was good because the car was being used by one of their managers who would be on site on Wednesday
I questioned him about the previous ownership - he said it would be Car Shop as it was a company vehicle
I enquired about service history he said it will have been serviced as per Land Rover recommendations
I asked him to confirm the mileage - he said the 15,000 miles would be correct as the car was in use and would have increased since the pictures were taken
On Wednesday I set off from home at 5:30am and arrived at Car Sop at 9:15
I then had to wait until 11:00am to view the car - no one apologised for the delay
At 11:00 am I went outside to view the car - I was told it needed a new front bumper and a headlamp due to a bird strike and that it also required a service
The representative then told me that the actual mileage was 25,500 miles not 15,000 as stated in the advert
I travelled more than 360 miles to view the car - I had completely wasted a full day of my time
I made three calls during the day and each time I was told that someone would call me back but still nothing
I have put 360 + miles on my current Range Rover for no reason - used £80 + in fuel for no reason - and spent a full day of my time for no reason
Car Shop have made no attempt to apologise or offer any form of reimbursement for my losses
The whole experience failed by a long way to meet the expectations of a company of this size
I then emailed the sales manager who never even replied
I genuinely do not understand how they survive on such a big scale when they have no regard for customers
