I previously used Clinic Center in September 2024 for 24 dental crowns with good results, and later recommended them to my wife, whose treatment also went smoothly. With that trust, I booked a FUE hair transplant for April 2025. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different—and very disappointing. I was quoted £1,590 for 4,000 grafts, told I’d be in Istanbul for just two days (arrive Tuesday, procedure Wednesday, fly home Thursday), and assured I was a good candidate for full coverage in one session. Based on this, I booked £220 flights, paid a £100 deposit, and even grew my hair out for a month—which was uncomfortable but necessary. Despite being told aftercare was included, I was later messaged by my “coordinator” Alara trying to sell me a £350 six-month product bundle. I queried this, and only then was I told only 14 days’ worth was included—something never disclosed up front. When I arrived in Istanbul, the transfers and hotel were great, but the issues began at the clinic. During the consultation (with a translator and consultant), I was suddenly told I would need two procedures to get the full result. This was never mentioned beforehand, and it was a deal-breaker—I have a young family and work in a job that requires wearing a helmet (which affects recovery time). I made it clear I wouldn’t proceed. From that moment, their tone changed drastically. They demanded £400 from me—despite it being their misinformation that led to my decision not to go ahead. I refused. Alara began messaging me on WhatsApp pressuring me to change my mind, promising a “good deal” on the second session and free aftercare. I still refused. Later that day, I was told to pay £240 or leave—again, I refused. Eventually, they forced me to pay £140, threatening to remove me from the hotel. At that point I paid, feeling intimidated and vulnerable in a foreign country. I’ve spent the last two weeks trying to resolve this, requesting a refund due to the misleading consultation. Their only response is to insist they told me a second procedure might be required—which is not true. I asked clear questions and was assured one session was enough. Bottom line: their customer service is terrible. Once they know they won’t get your money, they turn cold and pushy. This isn’t patient-focused care—it’s just a sales pipeline. They misled me, wasted my time, pressured me for money, and left me feeling vulnerable abroad. Istanbul is a fantastic city and I’d recommend the trip—but go with literally anyone other than Clinic Center.
