I didn’t even want to give 1 star!
Avoid at all costs!!!!! I’ve been a customer for 11 years paying almost £50 a month for cover ( believed I had the security of a replacement boiler if needed) found out this is not correct as per minuscule terms and conditions.
We have had 5 different engineers out sent by corgi HomePlan since march. Always for same reason, our boiler losing pressure, error code LF and we kept saying we thought there was a leak. All 5 just put pressure back into system ( which we could do ourselves) fast forward to last week when 6th engineer came out ( still for same problem) who told us he had to condemn boiler as it was heat exchanger. I rang corgi on Monday and insisted on an independent engineer coming out, he did who told us it was the heat exchanger, and it will have been the heat exchanger all of this time. Now there’s that much water damage yes boiler is unrepairable. However when the engineer who condemned boiler did not even do this correctly!!!! He did not put warning notice on boiler nor did he take the fuse out….we could have had a major electrical short circuit in the house. On top of this a cracked heat exchanger can lead to an escape of carbon monoxide…..the boiler is in a cupboard in my son’s room!
On top of all of this the flue is in the loft, corgi have serviced this boiler for 11 years and only once has an engineer asked to look at flue in the loft! We know now this is illegal!
So today we have now been left with no heating or hot water for almost 7 days. I am classed as vulnerable with a health condition that needs hot water. My complaint was escalated to manager of customer relations who promised to update me yesterday and guess what, surprise surprise no phone call!
Shocking and unlawful service from corgi, please take my advise, go elsewhere and save yourself a world of pain, stress and a great deal of money AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!!!!
