I have a full care package with Corgi and have been a customer for any years. Yesterday morning 20th June at 9.15am I called them to ask for an plumber as my toilet seemed to be blocked and would not flush. I called again last evening and was told they could not guarantee when anyone would come or call me It is now 7am 21st June... have been without toilet facilities for 24 hours. This is my only toilet .I am a 79 year old widow I live alone without any help. I am absolutely disgusted with this service....my son is coming this morning to help and if that is unsuccessful I will employ a private plumber....I would add that Corgi insisted I pay a £50 excess charge up front before they would deal with it. I paid and the money has been taken from .my Bank account BUT still NO PLUMBER OR HELP. USELESS COMPANY

Today your engineer refused to carry out our annual boiler service citing that he has an "ulcerated leg" and because we don't have a fitted loft ladder. Despite this British Gas, Home Serve and others have carried out work at our property with no issues previously using their own ladders. Before the appointment, my wife made it clear to your "engineer" the boiler was in the loft, at this point the engineer began making excuses. Please do not send him back nor waste our time. We have registered a complaint today, but we have already lost faith and will be cancelling and just paying a local firm direct to carry out the work.

I didn’t even want to give 1 star! Avoid at all costs!!!!! I’ve been a customer for 11 years paying almost £50 a month for cover ( believed I had the security of a replacement boiler if needed) found out this is not correct as per minuscule terms and conditions. We have had 5 different engineers out sent by corgi HomePlan since march. Always for same reason, our boiler losing pressure, error code LF and we kept saying we thought there was a leak. All 5 just put pressure back into system ( which we could do ourselves) fast forward to last week when 6th engineer came out ( still for same problem) who told us he had to condemn boiler as it was heat exchanger. I rang corgi on Monday and insisted on an independent engineer coming out, he did who told us it was the heat exchanger, and it will have been the heat exchanger all of this time. Now there’s that much water damage yes boiler is unrepairable. However when the engineer who condemned boiler did not even do this correctly!!!! He did not put warning notice on boiler nor did he take the fuse out….we could have had a major electrical short circuit in the house. On top of this a cracked heat exchanger can lead to an escape of carbon monoxide…..the boiler is in a cupboard in my son’s room! On top of all of this the flue is in the loft, corgi have serviced this boiler for 11 years and only once has an engineer asked to look at flue in the loft! We know now this is illegal! So today we have now been left with no heating or hot water for almost 7 days. I am classed as vulnerable with a health condition that needs hot water. My complaint was escalated to manager of customer relations who promised to update me yesterday and guess what, surprise surprise no phone call! Shocking and unlawful service from corgi, please take my advise, go elsewhere and save yourself a world of pain, stress and a great deal of money AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!!!!

Didn't fix my boiler when it was broken, left a young family and babies in a freezing cold house and offered no resolution

Over 15 years i have paid over 7 thousand pounds for corgi cover, the boiler broke again , the engineer put a danger tag on the boiler two weeks ago and turned gas off then walked away without comment, I have heard nothing from the corgi company, we are in our eighties without heat or hot water. Ripped off for over £7000 DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!

I have not had any problems with Corgi home care plan. They have responded to my call out requests and fixed the problem. One time I did not have hot water they fixed it. My boiler broke down they got the parts from Potterson and fixed it.

We vulnerable an engineer came on Friday morning reported on Thursday afternoon to be told it needed a new part. All they are doing is looking for the cheapest part we have been left freezing since Thursday never ever use corgi they don’t care and we are still waiting.

Signed up many years ago thinking this would give us peace of mind should anything occur. Up until now only needed boiler service annually. At the start of 2025 the boiler stopped working, phoned Corgi and sent out an engineer who deemed the boiler was beyond economical repair as it was over ten years old. A few hours later received a phone call from Corgi who assured me we would receive a phone call (implied it was another part of the company) to quote supply and fit of a new boiler. We never have received this call. Due to freezing temperatures contacted an independent gas engineer who quoted and fitted within five days. Because of the disgusting service and total lack of support from Corgi, we cancelled our direct debit. Surprise, surprise within hours received an email stating we need to talk to you urgently. Made contact and explained why we had cancelled and then to add insult to injury we were told we had to pay a cancellation fee. Asked to speak to a senior manager who kept saying 'sorry' but it wasn't their fault as this other division is in fact a totally independent company. My argument was that our contract was with Corgi and they had a duty of care but still no concession. We have now reluctantly paid this cancellation fee and we will never go back to Corgi or recommend to anybody.

Been a customer for a long time, when I needed them to actually respond to a repair, useless. Looking for any excuse not to carry out repair under contract and the contractors they use just want the easy money attendance they must pay, and no actual work. Cancelled

Very poor service. Want to charge me my excess just to supply the settings of a pump THEY fitted. 'Complaints dept' almost suggesting I leave, certainly not interested in retaining my loyal business

Everything went wrong. The worst service I've every received. To much to say about them Don't trust them Don't join them. You'll only regret it. 9 days no heating no hot water. I've called the. 20 times never call me back. Lie.....basically they will do anything not to come out and do what you have paid for. Absolutely disgusting

I have received a letter from Corgi Home Plan asking me to contact them ! Well number on letter no longer works other phone numbers go to OVO and they cant help ! I have phoned numerous times , left holding on for ‘ages’. -I have emailed both email address on letter no reply - I really dont know what else to do to get some form of Customer Service !

No "zero" stars option or that is what we would have chosen. We can 100% echo review below, i.e. "Don't touch with a bargepole". Have been waiting for annual boiler service (actually have a maintenance contract!) since 24/4/24 (according to Customer Relations at Corgi Homeplan on 23/9/24 - call will presumably have been recorded). Eventually received mail to say to make appt online. Have had that appointment rearranged a number of times now as engineer did not turn up, no notice he was not turning up, and no contact made by Corgi Homeplan. Engineer did call once to rearrange but then yet again did not turn up and no contact. Every time, we have had to chase Corgi Homeplan ourselves. They make promises, say "we will try and get an engineer out tomorrow/next week etc", then no contact and no appt. We've lodged a complaint. Were told confirmation would say would take 8 weeks to resolve, but to ignore that as they'd get someone out sooner, possibly already the next day. And so on. Thankfully, our boiler is still working (although Corgi Homeplan engineer who serviced it last year said it was likely to stop working any day and to buy a new one), but based on reviews below, we are very concerned that if our boiler did break down, we would have to wait a very long time for Corgi Homeplan to respond. We get the impression they actually don't have any engineers available in our region who will take on jobs for Corgi Homeplan/Ovo. An absolute shambles. Complaints team said official "ombudsman" body to complain to is Utilities ADR. (PS In option below, you can only tick one response although several may apply).

Absolutely disgusted with this company. Have had the same appointment rearranged so many times now due to either no contact from their engineer on the days he's supposed to turn up, or he actually lies about being "on his way" then never shows, or his "car broke down". Useless company! Will be cancelling once our issue gets sorted (if ever!!). Don't touch them with a barge pole!!

Make sure you read your documents carefully, I’ve been paying for years but when I went to cancel they want me to pay more to cancel early, I knew I’d signed up for first year but it seems when it renews you are signed in for another whole year. We are buying new boiler that comes with a warrenty , we know longer need corgi home plan but have to pay. It also creeps up a lot every year I noticed when I went on website that new customer pay a lot less a month than we do. Be aware.

Literally the worst.... a waste of time I would rather spend time sticking pins in my eyes than speaking to anyone of the call centre staff at Corgi... Money WASTED - I may as well have gone to a casino for all the good it did me when I actually needed insurance...

Informed them oof the death of my Mother the Policyholder since then have been hammered with letters of demand over owed money. Have rang numerous times nobody answers have sent a email which confirmed I would received a reply within 2 days nothing after 5 days, a disgrace.

Called x 7 promised to send plum er, big leak in kitchen,2 days still waiting, what the use paying so much per month..... Just lies.... Will have to leave corgi!!
