Absolutely rubbish.Save your money.They are not timely and left me with out heating or hot water for over a week and didn’t seem to care.At times it was minus 4 outside. They failed to pass over the correct information to Worcester Bosch despite calling 9 times in the week and each time confirming my telephone number ,address and email address.Holding on for nearly an hour on some occasions. Worcester Bosch said they had the wrong telephone number but had the correct address however the engineer went to the wrong address.Corgi said they pass the correct information to Worcester Bosch . Total incompetence.Staff working from home with very little information or management support .Communication poor and working blindly , I now have to wait another 4 days for an engineer to come out.My house is ice cold and over the weekend temperature was minus 4. You don’t get this problem with a private engineer They would assess , order the parts and complete job as time is money.Poor show Corgi and Worcester Bosch .

Shame I couldn’t give it a zero. Left my wall in a mess because they don’t make good after an ongoing repair that they didn’t rectify until it had got more urgent. They go back on their word when it suits them, unprofessional and incompetent. Save your money as it really isn’t worth it.

The plan I have auto renews 1st Feb 2023. I don't wish to renew. The plan states even if you cancel your Direct Debit the plan will continue and you will owe the monies due. I have spoken to four different staff who say they need to transfer me and cannot help. I have written one cancellation letter (9th Jan). I have emailed every day for last eleven days (got automated response – but not every time) and still no acknowledgement of my cancellation request. If this experience is not deliberate policy the dreadful admin is enough to warn customer away.

Absolutely appalling service! We have been without hot water and heating for days!! No body has come out and on one occasion customer service said the fault wasn't logged! I had to pay privately Do not recommend this at all

If I could I would have awarded minus 5 stars. My boiler broke down on 17 th December. Phone was answered after 1 hour and 58 minutes and was told by an automation I had 2 minutes left. Just enough time to give my name and address and to say the boiler wasn't working before I was cut off. I expected a call back, but no one did, so had to ring back, a further 1 hour 45 minutes before being told the fault had been noted. I took this opportunity tell them I was asthmatic and also had COPD and had recently been in hospital with pneumonia. Told I was priority and give a different number should I need it. An engineer did turn up later that day and I was shown which button to press should the heating not come on again. The boiler needed a new part which was fitted on 20 December. Great!! The boiler stopped working on 23 rd and the button didn't work. Rang again and after another long wait on the phone was told engineer engineer would contact me. No one did! I rang the special number all day on 24th December but it was constantly engaged even at 9 pm. So much for 24/7 service!! Think they had all gone home to celebrate Christmas. Engineer came on 27th. I needed another new part. So no heating or hot water from 23 rd December till yesterday the 4th January. Would I recommend Corgi HomePlan, not a chance.I

Absolutely useless service! I've had an issue for 5 weeks and still waiting to get resolved. Initially they apologised very busy, and would get an engineer to contact me. Nothing!! They have now stopped communicating with me totally. Avoid at all costs.

Corgi 0, British Gas 10 ! Offer good rates, however, it's reflected in their poor systems and service. In the first month, they take 2 payments but you are not allowed to make any claims in the first 30 days. I've had numerous appointments cancelled by Corgi and engineers without any notice, jobs still unresolved, take ages to even get a job actioned. Engineers always in a hurry and never resolve issues in one go. Lovely people in their call centre but wait times are over an hour, their booking app doesn't work, don't be seduced by their offer rates, British Gas service Homecare is far far superior.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars They have lied repeatedly They have lied repeatedly, I live on the Isle of Wight, before I took out the plan I checked they had coverage here, I had an email back confirming they do. Boiler broke down tried the website to register breakdown, didn't work. Phoned, eventually got an answer and would be dealt with within 24hrs, didn't happen, was then told they have 5days to respond? After which it's my place to find somone who needed to contact Corgi Admin to clear the cost, that number is not maned so the engineer I found carn't proceed. I was told I was to pay and get a refund from Corgi (remember I still don't have a job ref number. So I find a engineer I pay him I still go on paying the monthly fee, oh, and I, if ever get a refund less £60 excess for something I dealt with, what am I paying for ~ nothing We are in our mid 70's during the coldest period for 120yrs, all we wanted was peace of mind, instead an unresolved nightmare Date of experience: 15 December 2022 Your review is pending.Read more Edit What’s next? Heating broke Sunday ,could get through to anyone by phone so went on line engineer phoned and visited Tuesday checked boiler said needed new parts was going away to order and would keep in touch,we phoned him Wednesday to find out what was happening and he said he had parts but needed authorisation from corgi to do the job,so we phoned corgi which took 1hr 49mins before anyone answered,saying they would pass message one,Thursday phoned again was told they would again pass message on,phoned Friday same answer.It is now Saturday no one has been in touch with us all week the only heating we had was a blow heater we have had to go out and buy two more heaters hot water bottles ,couldn't get electric blankets from anywhere the temperature had been -7.My husband is disabled and I suffer from arthiritis. We have no heating or hot water .My husband is still trying to get in touch been on the phone 17min.again no response.Can someone please help.

Can you explain why an 92 disabled person who currently has corgi homeplan and now since yesterday afternoon has not heating but I cannot get through to you on the phone awaiting two hours today to be cut off. I think your service needs a good overhaul. I just need a gas engineer to come out to me to fix my boiler else my death will be your fault for not helping me keep warm. A truly shocking service after an hour and half phone wait last night I was promised a service engineer today but no one has been Barbara Thomson policy no.oc466221. You are charging £29 per month for this so called service.

My partner in a wheelchair has been left with no heating or hot water now into the second day and yet another phone call. Apparently he's a priority because he's disabled. Did not even get a call back on the first day to say no one was attending. Absolutely disgusting service in tempretures of -8. Well done, you've lost a customer. Anyone else considering this company, STAY AWAY!

3 days ago Terrible service don't waste your money… Terrible service don't waste your money , we had flickering bathroom lights called Corgi on the Friday they sent an Engineer out on the Tuesday , after finding faulty lights and a faulty old fuse board Corgi declined the claim saying they want a second opinion , a second engineer came out said the same as the first engineer Corgie kept passing us from this department to that department waiting weeks for a decision, corgi declined the repair saying our electrical system was not up to Uk specification yet it was built to spec since new ! Using a feeble get out “ saying section 417 in the booklet says if its not to current uk spec they will not repair or cover you. So basically unless your house electrics are brand new , they will use this clause to get out of any repair . I would also like to point out during the faulty light diagnostic work carried out by Corgi contractors bare live wires were left live in the loft corgi say the lights were isolated , we had to get an independent electrical company round to make my property safe and have a report saying the electrics were never isolated in the first place so our property was at risk of fire or possible electrocution . I have these reports and logs to view if anyone wants to see them ,we are now taking action against Corgi for this shoddy workmanship and unsafe electrical working practices , and raising a complaint with the financial ombudsman service . Even Corgis CEO hasn't the decency to reply to emails

My elderly mother has been without heating or hot water since Sunday...apparently the engineer couldn't get the part some 3 days later. She is a vulnerable individual and is suffering with her health due to no heating or water. This is the worst company EVER ..Do not under any circumstances sign up to these clowns. They will never resolve your issue in a timely manner. The boiler needs replacing but they are charging £2k for a replacement. We are not renewing our contract again!!

Avoid like the plague. They do not tell the truth. Prevarication is extensive. Do not waste your money. Terrible service (?) on a previous claim and now misinformation re an existing claim.

I have payed corgi home plan insurance for a number of years never claiming anything. Earlier this year our boiler was diagnosed as being not economically viable for repair. They recommended going with corgi home heat as they could offer a £400 deduction if we went with them. I did buy a boiler from them. THE WORST THING I HAVE DONE IN MY LIFE!! Poor installation, electric wire left bare in a hot water cupboard, holes left where the flu goes through the wall from the boiler (new). Two engineers to correct the problems created by the first incompetent. Removing existing boiler without have the new one to install. The time taken to complete a one-day installation was almost three weeks. The final insult when I have a further problem is they say I did not inform them about having a new boiler, even though I have written evidence of a conversation with the sales team. They have been taking my monthly premiums without covering anything. When I challenged them about this, they said Well you still have drains, central heating etc covered. Well, the part that is not working is the central heating pump which in her own words is still covered. She then went on to say well it now depends what type of pump it is as some are not covered. If you wish she said, we can send an engineer out (£60). I had just spent £60 the day before on an engineer from Corgi home heat to tell me it was the pump. Can you not get the info from them I said, no, she said, it is a different company. The twist is it will be same engineer coming out to say the same thing. I will then have payed almost six months additional premiums for having no work done if I decided to go ahead with this. Given that my wife and I are awaiting hip operations and are limited in our mobility, yes, I did tell them, this made no difference. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE do not use these companies. If anybody sensible from these companies would like to be in touch, please do!

I only gave one star because I couldn’t give none. AVOID this company at all costs. They love to take your money but when you really need there help get ready. My boiler broke whilst away. They sent an engineer out within a few days saying certain parts were required, they called to say the Manufacturer of the boiler will come out to fit the parts. The manufacturer rang to say we are coming out tomorrow to fit the parts. The manufacturers engineer came out without any parts and says it needs parts, which we knew. Apparently now there are no parts available and we have had no hot water or heating for a week. In the mean time I have had a boiler fitted whilst they have been doing absolutely nothing. Just don’t do it

WARNING PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY If you have the complete cover covering your electrics ,for this company to cover any of your electrics your house electrics MUST BE UP TO DAY DATE ELECTRICAL SPEC , you think when you have an electrical problem they will sort it out , when all they do is take 2 weeks to let you know that because your electrics are not up too current specification they will decline your claim, seriously I doubt 90% of houses in the UK are up to that day, date spec due to the house age! Also they leave your house electrics un safe with live wires being exposed , pictures and video available should anyone need to see them to prove my claims .

Disgraceful company- paid monthly insurance for 11 years ( during which time the premiums have doubled) and never made a claim or call out of any description in that time. Hot water stopped working (heating still OK) so called them for the first time. Engineer attended and said that he needed a part and would contact us and return to fix the problem. Heard nothing for over a week- contacted them again and they sent a second engineer who never even took the panel off the boiler and announced that it was irreprable!! When I contacted their office I was told that as the boiler was 10 years old they would not even attempt to repair it. They continued to accept my monthly premiums ( which are well over £35/ month) while being fully aware that they had no intention of providing any of the cover which I have paid for over the years. The only "help" that I was offered in exchange for the thousands of pounds of premiums I have paid was a discount of £400 if I were to buy a replacement boiler from them!! I subsequently had the boiler repaired by an accredited gas engineer for well under £300 including parts. I am proceeding with legal action to recover part of the money I have paid to these people. Please beware of this company.

Absolutely useless company. Do not use!!! Fit things in your home (didn't ask for) during boiler replacement and then tell you their plan doesn't cover it. So if it goes wrong in future (told by them prone to do so) you will have to pay someone else to fix. Hours on phone talking to people who say they are helping you but don't. Just put you on hold and then though to other people who say it's nothing to with them.

I rang Corgi on Saturday morning to report a problem with a tap. As of yesterday evening nobody had called me, so l rang again around 10pm and after going through all the pre-waffle was told l would get a call today (Tuesday). I have just called again and have been told the out of hours services closes at 8pm. In the meantime Corgi have deducted £50 from my account for the excess. It seems everything is contracted out to third party plumbers with Corgi having no idea if a call has been actioned. They only "react" if a customer advises that no one has turned up. So basically they take your money, give a rubbish service, and if a few customers fall off the edge then so be it. We has a similar instance the last time we called them out and were hoping things would be better on this occasion, but it hasn't turned out to be the case. With any luck, if anyone can be bothered, l might even get a call tomorrow.
