Last night we found our boiler had failed to come leaving us with no heating or hot water. We contacted Corgi and our call was answered promptly by Jackie. She took us through every step to restart our boiler and within 10 minutes everything was working. Thank you and Jackie for an excellent service.

I’ve been with Corgi. Home plan for over 4 years and have found them very efficient, this year I had a fault on my boiler and they asked if I was a vulnerable person on saying I was, I had an engineer phone me after one hour and he arrived an hour later. He got my boiler going but phoned Corgi to say there were certain parts of my boiler that needed replacing.Corgi phoned me to say they had arranged for the maker of the boiler to come and replace what’re they found wrong with my boiler and they would cover the costs, well my boiler had virtually a rebuild and has never been better.I found the people at Corgi home plan very friendly and helpfull.

I had problems with my central heating. I phoned Corgi and told them my wife was a vulnerable person. I received a call from Rich of RDS in Barton in Lincolnshire and he made the journey to Hull on the night time, and made a temporary fix and got central heating working for the night and promised he would be back next morning, as promised he was back next morning and fitted a new Motorised valve. All okay. Thanks to Rich @ RDS for is prompt and efficient service and going the extra mile Thanks Rich ! I have been with Corgi 3 years and always had great service. Col. i have been with corgi for over 5 years, never had a problem till this weekend. probably my fault for not reading a change in policy, but not really mentioned in the yearly email. Anyway boiler broke, rang corgi had to pay £60 call out. Engineer arrived, advised pcb is broke due to the electric going off. I asked him how, they're must be a AS fuse to prevent this he said there wasn't. any way he left, corgi rang and said i wasn't covered. so check your contract before joining, now OVO has entered into the name, the company seems to have gone down hill. oh and the now broken boiler has sprung a leak which it dint have before there engineer came around.

I have had a Corgi Homeplan through OVO for 2 years, paying £12 / month. During that time I have tried to book my annual boiler service at least 6 times. No one has ever shown up. I've also logged multiple complaints. Initially they appear useful then there is no follow up. Ironically they've just sent me a renewal (double the cost of my original plan!). I'm going to complain to the energy ombudsman (they managed to negotiate £200 from OVO over a different issue and might have more success than me!) Shocking level of service and absolute crooks - avoid at all costs!

Absolute shocking service yesterday 3 march 2024 at 3pm .my mom 81 /lives alone had water pouring from the boiler and thank fully a external pipe . As classed vulnerable we are still waiting for engineer and was told priotity due vunrabilty now 4,0pm on 4th march I have to chase call all to see when they going be attending . Had this policy for well over 20 years never claimed till now and pays over £30 per month. I see now know why don't bother and just depend local trusted trades . Waste of money ... So don't bother

Please make sure you read ALL 28 pages of their Terms and Conditions. Especially the two sentences at the bottom of page 10..."If a waste or water leak from internal pipework is discovered and is not directly accessible....we will be unable to repair the fault until you have traced the leak and arranged for access to be made". Eight years at circa £40 a month which is over £3,000 paid :(

absolutely terrible - had been a customer for years but when we really needed them they couldn't find an engineer for several days and refused to cover the work due to an incorrect installation of a radiator (it had been installed 8 years prior to us moving in). There really is no point in even having insurance I may as well have never bothered with them, complaints process was a joke and I'm pretty sure they were just laughing at me for even attempting to use their "service".

17th Nov , reported issue with a radiator not heating up , Engineer called and after a little investigation told us we needed to flush the radiators if we wanted to get the system working correctly , we had to get private contractors in for this and once done the engineer came back out to look at the system which appeared to be working fine , then the boiler started to leak and make horrendous noises , fast forward 3 weeks and another engineer visit , " Your Heat Exchanger is Blocked" , had to ring corgi up to find out what was happening only to be told we dont cover the heat exchanger if it is blocked due to build up and we suspect you havent had the boiler serviced over the first few years , easy to dispel that one as we have had it serviced and maintained every year since it was fitted. So then after dispelling this issue they then would not acknowledge the likelihood that the action they told us take was likely to be the reason the Heat Exchanger was blocked so if your repair is likely to be expensive they will find a way to weasel out of it and look for any possible excuse not to cover you even if they are likely to have been the cause. Disgraceful attitude and total abrogation of any responsibilities , result still got poor heating performance and a boiler that is intermittent occasionally leaks and CORGI are not interested. SO MUCH for customer service. I intend to take this to small claims as this is going to come with a considerable cost after IMO they have caused an issue that was not apparent previously. I Also intend to share this on every review or Social Media site I can find to warn people to KEEP CLEAR of this shoddy company, No accountability and Wriggle to get out of owning their mistakes or generated issues. Needless to say I wont be continuing and need them to cancel my cover as I dont trust them to do what is right. Just as writing this got a mail from Customer Relations they will let me know their Decision in 8 Weeks, lets hope its not a cold Winter

Corgi ovo homeplan Being paying for this cover for around 12 years. Never ever used it. However yesterday I requested an engineer for a faulty boiler! They charged me £50 to organise an engineer. Received a call from him 20 min before he got here and lucky I was home. Wasaq the engineer turned up walked around for no more than 20 min and stated the boiler was overheating. He spent most of the time trying to stick magnets to plastic pipes trying to hard sell a filter. He left after a very short time claiming he needed to do a report. He asked me sign something but claimed I couldn’t read it. He left the house and three min later received a call from ovo corgi (Yvonne) saying they had received the engineers report and unfortunately there may be some sludge in the system so any work is not covered. (Must have been the worlds quickest report) I then asked where this was in any terms and conditions. Yvonne responded by telling me that it was in an email that I received back in May (despite them not having my email address …. The story quickly changed to a letter….. surprise surprise it must have got lost in the post!!! Absolutely disgusting service ….. I estimated I have spent around £11k on this cover over the years and they have not ever even attended to service my boiler once!!!! Please please don’t believe the fake reviews for this site!!! Ask a trusted plumber for an independent advice before committing to these fraudsters!!!!!!!!!!!!! I originally took this cover out with sse and they appear to have transferred me to ovo corgi without my knowledge!!!!!!! Disgusting !!! Will be seeking an independent report from a plumber and taking this all the way!!!

Botch repairs to elderly customers house, try to sell her a heater to repair soaked carpet that their ineptitude caused. Won't come out to repair their shoddy workmanship as their engineer doesn't work a Saturday, he will come out Sunday though. Shambles.

We are now on the 8th day with no heating or hot water. 13 calls to Corgi and serval to the actual engineer (who very rarely answers) still no further on. No part ordered 2 engineer visits to “look” at our boiler. No one from corgi rings to update you. My guess is because there’s nothing to update on as they haven’t done anything. 3 children in the property 1 that suffers from seasonal bronchitis and has been hospitalised serval times over the years. My husband has telephoned corgi once again this morning and we are still no further on than we were 8 days ago. No part ordered no update….nothing! We have booked a weekend away because we can no longer stand having no heating and hot water. We have had to travel to my mums small bungalow throughout the week for showers and to warm up. This has obviously inconvenienced my mum who is 77 years old. Wouldn’t recommend corgi to anyone, customer service is a joke. Engineers are a joke and overall service is terrible. We have checked the ombudsman website and will be following direction from them on how to pursue this.

It has taken over 4 weeks to fix my disabled sisters boiler, two corgi engineers could not fix it , in the end an engineer from the company who makes the boiler ( Worcester) was called out, he had fixed the problem in just over 1.30 hours, it appears there were various seals missing, screws missing and a pressure screw double threaded which had the boiler been working it would have caused the boiler to blow up. In the words of the Worcester engineer ,Quote” whoever worked on the boiler had done a bodge job” Unquote . The customer service agent I originally spoke to did not have the courtesy to ring me back when a time was agreed, she went on holiday without passing over the complaint to anyone, I only found out whilst speaking to another customer service agent who was very helpful. CORGI , are you employing “ Mickey Mouse” engineers who do not know what they are doing? Who is going to pay to have the water damage to my sisters ceiling caused by the boiler, you have had the pictures I have sent you.

Wow Lost for words Second year in a row Called out 4 faults on boiler needed 4 parts Basically gave every excuse in the book as to why they couldn’t fit parts Trying to say sludge in system So can’t fit parts & yet independent plumber says no sludge They really are a bunch of crooks Same last year Last year had to get a independent to fix the issue 0 stars Avoid at all costs I’m taking them to a small claims court The engineers they use are dodgy & basically have been told say what we ask you to say to use justify not carrying out work So we have boiler cover 4 parts not working & yet they won’t fix it Our independent will !!! So basically they will use hidden clauses to justify not fitting parts of its to expensive for them Government should investigate this industry & also pet insurance Basically they have so many terms they hide behind them But as we know , just because they have terms 5 thousand pages long doesn’t make them legal As the consumer care acts highlights Cowboys There trust pilot reviews days if all I feel sorry for the call centre staff having peddle there company scripted dialogue How sad Don’t take peoples money if u don’t want to take the risk If it’s a old boiler then reflect it in the premium & risk

Do not waste your money with a Homeplan. The service is shocking without any remedy. On one occasion they said they had no time to a job and gave no indication of when they could return. The cancellation is auto-renewal and you have to phone Sales to cancel, but they do not advise you of this matter. You then get hit with a cancellation fee. My advise is never use them, despite receiving nominal compensation for their repeated failure to attend appointments. This is the first review letter that I have ever written.
