I bought the cake as a gift for a friend's birthday on behalf of another friend, as I had recommended Cutter & Squidge. In fact, I have recommended Cutter & Squidge cakes to a number of friends and my daughter, as she bought a celebration cake for her twins (my grandkids). However, I was somewhat annoyed when I highlighted that whilst placing my recent order on their website, it confirmed the 15% discount had applied, when in fact it hadn't. This wasn't apparent until after I had paid. But whilst it's understandable that technical glitches can occur, I took umbrage to being told I had deliberately used a previous code, so in effect, I was accused of being deceitful. I have purchased several cakes over time and was quite incensed. Thankfully, my complaint was escalated and a refund of the difference applied, but that's not how a returning customer should be treated. As a consequence, I have found other cake suppliers online, so will give them a go for my next order.
