I am a great fan of Decathlon and have been a customer of the stores in France for many years. It is only fairly recently that I have been using the U.K. online facility and in general have been very satisfied with both the price/quality of the products and the service. However where the website does fall down is in answering customer queries. Twice I have asked questions via the website and on each occasion I have either been given incorrect information or have not received a proper answer despite making my questions absolutely clear. On the one occasion it could have caused me considerable annoyance and a wasted journey of 240 miles if I hadn't double checked by telephoning the store I was directed to before starting what would have been a wasted journey. It's as if the person responding simply wants to clear their in-tray as quickly as possible without proper consideration to the questions asked. Yet the system still wants me to score the service provided.
