Frequent DoorDash Customer
I’m a frequent DoorDash customer. My experience has been very good this far. On a couple of occasions the restaurant (not the DoorDasher) have gotten one or two side items mixed up... but nothing to get upset over. The time frame delivery I believe is based on the restaurant you order from and day of the week due to a high volume of customers/orders. In addition, I have also come to estimate adding an additional 10-15 minutes extra delivery time. I have to keep in mind there is traffic and other obstacles that may take place on the way to delivering my food. The two most recent experiences are where the restaurants really made an error on my main course meals. I called both the restaurants and DoorDash customer service to get the issue resolved. Door Dash immediately apologized and offered a refund on my incorrect items or DoorDash credit. I accepted the DoorDash credit, as I am a frequent DoorDash customer. On one occasion the restaurant even offered to redeliver my entire order at no additional expense and include desserts. I accepted this offer (for my incorrect items only!) because they went above and beyond, along with an apology! My point, instead of automatically getting upset look for a way to try and resolve the issue with the restaurant and/or DoorDash. We take a chance when we order through any food delivery app. The DoorDashers are providing us a service by delivering our food... otherwise get in your own car and pick up your own food!
