Overall, DoorDash is a great service that provides a variety of choices in meals from the restaurant of one's community, thus saving time for working people to receive a fine meal right at their door steps delivered by professional looking young adults.
What impresses me are the people who deliver are generally courteous and present well in clothes and hygiene. That's important when one is ordering food from an establishment, and needs to make sure that the food is not just "tossed in the car" with other assorted junk!
But most importantly, DoorDash main office provides great customer service exhibiting a respectful attitude. The staff makes sure that its customers are important and therefore satisfied in terms of the service they receive.
Whenever, I had an issue with a delivery or food, DoorDash customer service responded cordially and made sure that I get a refund without giving me the "third degree!" That establishes a trust between a customer and the company.
One main suggestion I have is to find a way that food arrives hot and not lukewarm or downright cold. That seems to be the most common complaint, although recently it's been much better. Nevertheless it isn't yet the norm!
Another suggestion, to make sure the drivers ALWAYS bring the food in a bag as it is more sanitary that way, instead of handing you the "food containers" that is slightly open, and the plastic fork/knife (and yes, the napkin too) from their hand to the customer's. With the emphasis on hygiene, that should NEVER occur.
Delivery staff should need to be trained in such topics as how to transport food so that it stays hot, how to maintain a high level of hygiene, and such.
Yet, I return to my main premise: overall DoorDash has been a great company that truly is customer oriented providing courteous and professional service.
Keep adding a variety of restaurants, and keep up with the good work!
