I had been with DoorDash as a dash pass member for years and tonight I still was deciding if I should give up on them or not, but the decision was made for me. If my food was not going to arrive or arrive on time, all I needed was to know of the same. But DoorDash would rather lose a loyal customer who pays for atleast two deliveries everyday and exorbitant service fees since I am in Seattle, but not acknowledge that a driver was totally driving towards my place and suddenly decided to go in many other directions to pick up more orders on the way. After all that, suddenly an hour later, I get a notification that driver is heading to store to pick up my order again. I am going to bed empty stomach and also despite telling them that I will cancel my membership myself, trying to give myself more time to think about canceling, I had a customer support agent who just went ahead and canceled the membership for me and then just abruptly ended the chat with me. On top of it, they called me and told me I had canceled my membership in Dec itself (which was to use a different Chase credit card for the right dash pass perks). And to be honest even if I had canceled my membership out of frustration, the fact that I came back and stuck with them for so long again clearly means nothing to them, loyalty means nothing. I am sure me writing this means nothing and people will continue to use DoorDash and DoorDash will not care either.
