First time using DoorDash. I chose a restaurant that had a 30-40 minute delivery time. When I placed my order at 6:30pm, the estimated delivery time was 10:31pm. In a panic, I clicked on the help screen and clicked on 'cancel order'. The message said the order was already being processed and I would receive the processing fees back ($13 of a $42 order). I didn't cancel but when I found this site and the horror stories, I could only keep my fingers crossed. A short time later a delivery person was assigned the order. I was able to follow the driver's location on the map and had my food delivered 40 min later. (It so happened that I was on the west coast and my computer is set at east coast time!) Food was hot and driver, Raymond, was super pleasant. I guess the service depends on the area!
