CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management
My Learning Journey with e-Careers – As a professional with extensive experience in operations, I have always had a passion for people development. Despite not having officially worked under the HR umbrella, I have managed several key support functions throughout my career—such as training, onboarding, recruitment, performance management, rewards, and organizational change. These experiences ignited a desire in me to formalize my HR knowledge, leading me to pursue a Master’s degree in International Business and Human Resource Management from a university in the UK, which also marked my entry into the country.
Currently, I work in Operations Management as a System Admin Staff, but I have always envisioned aligning my career more closely with human resources. Choosing the CIPD Level 5 course was a deliberate step toward realizing this vision. It aligns with both my short-term
I chose e-Careers primarily due to the educational funding support offered, which made it accessible for me to enroll at a critical point. I appreciated that the institution looked beyond current job titles and focused on my background, potential, and passion for HR, allowing me to join the Level 5 program despite not working directly in HR at the time.
Learning Journey was It was quite a great learning experience, e-careers have all the platforms any student will be motivated to learn, from the modules that we can look into now and then so that we can be guided in the assessment cases that we need to complete, the guidelines sessions provided for each of the module so that we can also be guided on how we can answer the assessments, the customer feedback portal or the experience which has been very engaging in helping the the students in learning and most importanty, the tutor which i felt, i was supported well in all its facets. Believe me, i didnt get to have all the modules answered at passing rate in one shot (for some varied reasons) but in the end, i felt that me and tutor have the same goal - for me to have a PASS mark once modules are moderated by CIPD.
Given that I wasn't in a direct HR role, my tutor encouraged me to broaden my perspective and apply HR concepts within my operational context. What stood out most was how equitably and empathetically Aman supported me, considering my personal learning style and external circumstances. This allowed me to complete the course in just 7–8 months, which I consider a significant achievement.
I highly recommend e-Careers as a training provider. Beyond the academic excellence and user-friendly platform, the referral system, funding options, and strong tutor-student support make it an ideal choice for aspiring HR professionals. The course has not only expanded my HR knowledge but also renewed my motivation and affirmed my career aspirations.
