we researched for a few months on which fireplace we wanted to get we wanted one that looked as realistic as possible, without spending a ton! this fireplace is beautiful. It heats the room. It looks as realistic as an electric fireplace is going to get the only downside to it is it doesn't make noises like a fire place, some of the more expensive ones do. Other than that it was a great purchase.
