BUY...THIS...FIREPLACE... and buy it from ELECTRIC FIREPLACES PLUS!!! The delivery was fast and easy, the unit was well packaged and in pristine condition and the cherry on top was getting it at the best price anywhere. I've been researching electric / virtual fireplaces for about one year and had come to the conclusion that currently there is no better, more realistic unit than the Modern Flames Orion line. The flame appearance is the BEST on the market because it was developed from real flames and allows you to choose from wood flames or gas flames (so you can change the feel of your fireplace depending on the occasion), the crackling fire sounds (I love sitting in front of a real campfire and listening to the sounds) and the different down-lighting / up-lighting colors means you can never get tired of this unit. I couldn't wait to test it out, so I gave it a test run before completing the wall mount build out and was blown away. It's not an inexpensive fireplace, but it will not become outdated anytime soon (or ever) so it is a worthwhile investment if you care as much about esthetics as the heating function.
