I have only turned on the logs a couple of times and so far I like the affect. The only thing I don't like is the 180 degree plastic part that goes in the middle of the logs to give it the deep effect, you can see it without looking very hard. It would be much better if it was a bit larger so you couldn't tell it was there. I don't know how long the LED lights will last.
