We had an Electriq eiQ60INDTP induction hob instead as part of a complete kitchen refit. My daughter placed a hot oven tray on it, and immediately heard a noise. She lifted the tray and saw that the glass had cracked, she was mortified as she thought she’d done something wrong. Don’t worry I told her, it is made to withstand heat, and it’s under warranty. I contacted Appliances Direct and sent them pictures of the crack. Despite me sending them photos and asking them to send an engineer to verify it’s a crack, they insist that it is a scratch which nullifies the warranty, and have refused to send and engineer to look at hob.
In Summary avoid Electriq products and Appliances Direct.
I believe this hob is also marketed with other brand names which are sold by Screwfix and B&Q.
