If there were zero stars, they would deserve less. My parcel was not delivered to my door, not even to the correct side of the building where every door is clearly marked with the right numbers. Instead, the driver dumped it under a street sign on the opposite side of the building by the main road, next to a sign pointing to numbers 1–7. Absolutely no attempt was made to bring it to the actual entrance with the correct address. Here’s the worst part: I was at home the whole time. I work from home. If anyone had knocked on the door, I could have taken the parcel in person. Instead, Evri sent me an email an hour and a half later showing a photo of my parcel abandoned under the street sign. By the time I finished work at 5pm and went outside, the parcel was gone. Stolen. When I complained, customer service was flippant and dismissive. Their excuse? The driver was “in the vicinity” of the address. Since when is “vicinity” an acceptable standard for delivery? By that logic, Royal Mail or any professional courier could just leave parcels in a car park, or across the street, or anywhere “nearby,” and call it a job well done. It’s insulting. I requested an explanation from the driver and escalation to an external watchdog, but received nothing except more arrogant brush-offs. Zero accountability. Zero responsibility. Zero care for customers. This is not just incompetence—it’s reckless and dangerous. Leaving parcels unattended under a street sign, on a public road, is an open invitation for theft. And then to be spoken to as though I were unreasonable for expecting my package at my actual address is beyond disgusting. To everyone in Surrey (and beyond): be careful who is driving these delivery vans. If this is the standard of service they think is acceptable, your parcels, your trust, and your money are not safe. Avoid this company at all costs.
