This is my very first wheel that I ever bought, I am 65 years old and yes it is challenging and as of this writing I am still practicing when ever I have the chance. The EUC responds well, I have no issues with it, I really like the wheel. Don't let age be a factor if you can do it then go for it. Be safe.
