I wanted shutters in the color called Cranberry. They were "special order" so my credit card was charged before they shipped. The shutter color was not avaible at that time. After a few weeks I asked for a refund and was given one quickly. I ordered the same size shutters in "paintable". I used the recomended primer and paint. The unpainted shutters plus the paint about equalled the cost of the prepainted. I'm hoping the Sherwin Williams paint will not fade as quickly as what I see on other houses. The one "custome sized" shutter I ordered was not an exact match to the others and seemed to be of lesser quallity. I'm glad I did not spend the extra money to get all of the shutters custom sized. One shutter was slightly damaged (I assume during shipping) but I can work with it. The price seems high for pressed plastic but that is a manufacturing thing not the distributor. They were packed well and shipped UPS ( The driver was not happy). I plan to install them next week. I'm hoping all goes well.
