Wish I didn't have to give even 1 star.
Booked a transfer from Venice to Corvara for a friend. His aircraft was delayed so he sent an email to the carrier SPP to warn them of a possible 2 hour delay and to check the arrival boards, as they claim to do. The aircraft was fixed quicker than anticipated and landed 1hr 15mins late. No driver waiting in arrivals. He called the contact number, got the impression that no-one was coming. Lady at the Information desk called for him, he answered and then just hung up as soon as the name was mentioned. She made frequent attempts to call back, none were answered. So, at 5pm local time he had to find a taxi willing to make the one way trip of 180kms.
I had been quoted a price of 190 Euros and pre-paid the 57 Euros demanded. He had to pay 380 Euros for the journey.
I claimed back from Gettransfer the 190 Euros over and above the quote and my deposit of 57 Euros.
This claim was denied by the so-called quality assurance manager despite lengthy email exchanges. She persisted in claiming that the airline should pay, ridiculous position, they have no liability in Europe for any delay of less than 2 hours. She failed to address or recognise that the customer had tried to alert them to a delay and that the supplier had not responded to phone calls. It is criminal to keep a deposit for a service which was not provided and I am exploring avenues to take legal action against them. The 190 Euro taxi cost a total of 427 Euros! No customer consideration at all.
