Absolute thieves. After learning of delays to my flight well ahead of my booking time, I contacted my driver who stated he would only be able to wait for an hour at Stansted as he had another pickup at Gatwick and the service only allows for delays of up to an hour. We discussed cancelling the trip but the option wasn’t available to me less than 48 hours ahead of my booking request and the driver told me unfortunately he was not able to cancel from his side so I should contact GetTransfer. I tried calling - no answer. Used their online chat and they basically told me there was nothing they could do. No offer to organise a replacement driver or anything of the sort even though they work with a number of different carriers. I told my driver of their response and said not to worry about coming but he told me he had to make the journey anyway or else he’d be penalised by GetTransfer. I now learn that their user agreement allows for drivers to cancel the request - why was I not informed of this by the support team and knowing full well that both I and my driver wanted to cancel the request so he didn’t go all the way to Stansted for no reason, why didn’t GetTransfer just action the request themselves? Instead they just told me to email support who obviously didn’t get back to me immediately. As a result, my driver wasted his time and money coming to Stansted for a transfer we both knew he couldn’t fulfil and I was left stranded at Stansted at midnight after public transport has stopped with no way back to my home. Not to mention the £85 I’d paid for absolutely zero reason and the worst customer service imaginable. Do not use this company. They are incompetent and negligent at best, completely fraudulent at worst.
