I booked this company for transfers because my father has recently passed away and my mother and I needed to travel to Italy at the last minute, we had to travel from Bologna airport to Castrocaro Terme , a journey that takes approximately an hour, so this was no small journey. We weren’t arriving until 6.30pm so I booked the driver to pick us up at 7.00pm with a name card. My mother is 71 and quite fragile, which was why the service seemed so ideal, I also booked a return service to take us back to Bologna airport which cost just over €200.00 . When we arrived, there was no driver and no card, I checked outside the airport while my mother remained at arrivals, I then attempted to call both numbers on the paperwork, both were shut until 9.30am the next morning, I even got the information desk at the airport to try, not convinced I had the right numbers. We waited for an hour and ten minutes (the paperwork stated the driver would wait for 60 minutes) only for no driver to arrive! I was upset and my mother was tired . We ended up having to take a twenty minute bus journey to the station and a further half an hour journey by train the forli, where we were fortunate enough to be taken by an independent taxi driver to a our final destination in Castrocaro, suffice to say, I was relieved when the driver offered us his card for a return journey, which was prompt and the driver wouldn’t even take a tip on either journey, compared to this company , he was a dream! I contacted gettransfers the same night by messenger as this was the only service available to both complain and cancel my return journey. They apologised and I was told I would receive a refund in full, that was over a week ago, I am now being told it may be a month before I receive a refund, despite paying on debit card. I have been in touch with them consistently since I returned, made it clear how unhappy I was with the service, which you would assume would spur them into action, but I am now being told that my refund will take 30 days plus because of the Coronavirus. It’s just terrible customer service after terrible customer service. I would highly recommend avoiding this company like the plague , if I could have left zero stars then I would have done.
