Gold car
I had a terrible experience with this company. They were rude, lazy, nasty bullies.
The car parks at the airport are very confusing and I found it very difficult to find my way to their cabin.
In the end I parked it as close as I could on the row below and went to ask how I could get my way to their spot.
I was suffering with shingles, it was a very hot day, and I had my luggage to cart around with me.
As I approached their cabin (10 second walk) there were 3 of their staff idling outside. I was so shocked when they immediately starting shouting at me. ‘Where is the car’. You have to bring it here, you can’t leave it there. I said can’t you please help me but they all just continued being incredibly rude and disrespectful. One particular man said ‘shut up and listen to me!!!! I said ‘don’t be so rude’. He then repeated himself and was barking orders at me. I was absolutely flabbergasted. I was trying to explain and get help, directions but they were all shouting over each other.
Then some woman inside leaned around a corner and starting barking ‘there are great big blue directions on the road’ you have to follow them. (there were blue signs on the road, but when it came to the crucial area where you chose which turning to take you were in a queue of traffic and couldn’t see them. She spoke to me as though she thought I was absolutely stupid.
Honestly I felt like I was in another dimension.
Then a 5th woman joined in. she was also very unpleasant – despite being lovely when giving me the car initially.
I was ordered by her to ‘pay for the car park’, I said yes of course I’ll pay the parking fee…., she waited for me to say that and then she then repeated ‘you have to pay for the car park!’ (after paying close to £1000 for the car hire I was hardly going to have a problem paying 80c for parking!)
It was like one dog started barking and they all mindlessly joined in. Unbelievable behavior.
I was so upset I couldn’t even get out of the car parking lot (also hindered by the fact it was in Spanish). I nearly abandoned the car at the gate. Thankfully a security guard came over and he helped me.
After finally finding my way back and returning the car I turned away and walked down to the airport in tears. I couldn’t stop sobbing. In the airport I was so distraught I collapsed to the ground, I couldn’t stop crying and didn’t think I was going to be able to cope with the rest of my journey.
I was in such a state and if it hadn’t been for other passengers and some of the staff I don’t know how I would have managed the rest of the journey.
I would NEVER use this company again. They are an absolute disgrace.
