I just want to share my experience with Uber and its services as an Uber driver. I really want to give the rating in negative points but don't have the option, so I'll have to give at least 1.
I was an existing Uber driver and I got the message from the support team to convert my Uber Eats account to its account and UNFORTUNATELY, I said yes please go ahead.
Once I confirmed to convert my account to UBERX, they took more than a week, and whenever I called to confirm the status they always said it will take 24-48 hours. Meanwhile, my Uber Eats account was also deactivated and I couldn't continue my work. The staff is so unprofessional and they don't have internal communication. They never update me that what's the issue with the account, I got to know the problem only when I called them and will never get to know if I never called them.
As an exiting Uber Eats driver, my identity and ABN everything was verified already. But this time, they said they're verifying the ABN details and again whenever I called they said it will take 24-48 hours. After spending almost 3 weeks like this, they said your ABN details can't be verified and asked me to contact ATO to change my name. I was so surprised to know that they're so unprofessional that they don't know that ATO updates the name of a person as per their identity details. Anyways, I contacted ATO 3-4 times and finally got that the name can't be updated on the ABN.
Now, I'm completely stuck as ATO can't update my name and Uber wants me to contact ATO to update my name even though Uber had already accepted the same ABN previously. I had shared my name check document as well which says that both of the names belong to me.
I'm really frustrated now and really don't know how to break this deadlock.
It's now more than 3 weeks and still no resolution for my problem.
However, during this time period, I contacted OLA to open my fresh account and they activated my account within 2 days.
