Frankly, I don't even know why I bother writing reviews on these corporate businesses anymore. No one listens or cares....
I ordered two high end refrigerators online, a $5500 order to be delivered to two houses I own. Filled out first order with street address. After completing the first order, pop up ask if I wanted to order anything else. I filled out the second order and indicated in the notes section that the second delivery would go to the second residence at a different address. On the delivery day, shipper refused to deliver to the second address, even though it's only a mile from the first delivery. Called Home Depot, they refused to authorize the shipment and said I had to cancel order, purchase again, and reschedule with "the correct address". Shipper delivered product to first address and even though they had the second refrigerator in their delivery truck, they refused to deliver it to the second address I provided in the order notes. I wrote the second delivery street address in the notes to clarify my order of two refrigerators at the same time.
Why does Home Depot have a notes section if they don't read it? Does anyone there give a damn about actual customer service? Second, why doesn't anyone at Home Depot have the authority to make it right. They give you an 800 number and no actual person is available to talk to. When I finally found another "customer service number", it was text only. Can't talk to an actual person.
Home Depot is beyond pathetic. They have a lot learn about customer service and authorizing their employees to do the right thing. Home Depot is the epitome of an indifferent, faceless corporate business that doesn't give a damn about customer service. Shop elsewhere, preferably a local hardware store that still understands what customer service means, not just someone who greets you at the door but actually provides customer service.
