Purchased a new refrigerator in the Victoria, Tx store. Delivery arrived at my front gate on schedule 3 days later. Then things started going bad.
First the delivery men refused to drive their truck under a tree about 250 yards short of the house. So I had to take my tractor to the truck and transfer the fridge to the house. Then they informed me they would not take the old lightning-damaged fridge away. Said they didn’t have time for that. They took the new one out of the box and placed it in the slot in the kitchen, but said they were leaving the old one in the middle of the floor. I finally convinced them to move it to the porch (20 feet away) by giving them each $20. They unhooked the water line with my tools - they didn’t have any - and refused to hook water line to new fridge.
They then left, and I spent the next 3-4 hours removing all of the interior taping and packing. I have contracted with a junk removal service to pick up the old unit. Water line hook up will have to get done likewise. Also, HD delivery guys failed to give me an operators manual.
I’ll never again buy any appliance or other item from Home Depot which requires delivery, commissioning and hookup. They are complete idiots.
