I bought a Hotpoint washing machine, delivered on 05/12/2023. I was refurbishing a house and it was installed and delivered (great delivery and install). It started getting used in May 2024 and has accomplished 16 washes (all good). It tripped my RCD last week and refuses to work. I called Hotpoint (who I bought it from directly) and they wanted a £172 call-out charge. I was then offered a monthly payment scheme with no guarantee of a fix, then another lower payment each month when I said I will get a Samsung with a 5 year warranty. I asked for a replacement and they said, "No." Do not buy their products is my advice. I thought it was a reputable company.
