1.5 hours of my life wasted, passed around 5 times time by various switch boards and unhelpful staff when calling. Awful service. Scandalous to have to pay 150pounds to send out a technician when they visited 8 months earlier when you have 10 years warranty! Company and staff are highly unprofessional. Would never buy with Hotpoint ever again!!!! Disgraceful company!!! DO NOT BUY!!!

Purchased tumble dryer YT M11 92x in May 2023 directly from hotpoint . The PCB is faulty and they refuse to acknowledge consumer rights. Can’t speak to anyone who doesn’t recite the script. Sent letters of complaint in the post (only method given - in this day and age!!) but no response. If you’re thinking of buying a hotpoint just don’t bother. If anything goes wrong you’re on your own.

Subject: Urgent Complaint – Poor Customer Service & Lack of Support Dear D&G Complaints Team, I’m writing to express my disappointment with the service I received regarding a faulty washing machine claim. On August 15th, my washing machine broke down. The earliest engineer visit was August 20th, but they didn’t have the parts. I’ve had to spend £50–£60 at the laundrette, and will likely have to do so again, despite paying insurance on over 10 appliances for 3+ years. I spoke with a representative named Nadeem, who was unprofessional, dismissive, and interrupted me constantly. He refused to file a complaint or show any understanding of my financial or health situation. He insisted D&G wouldn’t compensate me—even though the fault hasn’t been fully diagnosed. And put the blame on HOTPOINT the company UNEXPECTED THEM TO PAY THE COMPENSATION TO ME WHEN MY INSURANCE IS WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY D&G I’VE BEEN PAYING D&G EVERY MONTH FOR MY INSURANCE NOT HOTPOINT so why should they be paying me compensation when I am a customer of D&G After a 50-minute call, I was ready to cancel all my policies. However, when I called back, I spoke with Charlene Slindile Mabaso, who was calm, understanding, and helpful. She listened, acknowledged my concerns, and submitted a complaint on my behalf. Charlene is the only reason I didn’t cancel my insurance today. I’m now waiting for a response. If I don’t receive appropriate support and compensation, I will be cancelling my policy and sharing this experience publicly. Yours sincerely,

Hotpoint freezer bought June 2020 malfunctioned March 2022. Hotpoint freezer bought as replacement March 2022 malfunctioned August 2025, so now looking to buy 3rd freezer in 5 years! Needless to say it WON'T be a Hotpoint!! Their customer service department couldn't have cared less when I contacted them by phone. Tried their WhatsApp chat and got a message basically saying they can't guarantee the life of any product. Obviously thought 2 broken freezers in 5 years was ok. The first one broke after just 2 years. There's no email to contact anybody senior in the company. Hotpoint treat their customers with contempt. I wouldn't go near them again. Other prospective customers beware!

DONT Buy Hotpoint Now in my 70's I have down the years always purchased Hotpoint machines as they were always reliable. However over the last few years the quality doesn't seem to be there anymore. They don't last, perhaps that suits Hotpoint. My latest purchase a couple of years ago is a washing machine, washer model WMFUG 942. We have already had a couple of problems with it, after the last repair when the spring type cable around the drum rubber seal rotted, I noticed at the time that the machine was starting to rot and wish I had pointed it out to Hotpoint at the time. We now have an error code F06 meaning something to do with the catch. If you saw the amount of bubbling paint around the door catch its no wonder that with all that water getting around there that its caused a problem. There is bubbling rotten paint and metal all over!! The cosmetic condition of this machine is horrendous. Its located in my well ventilated kitchen, no excess moisture in this room, its just a disgrace. Contacted Hotpoint but they couldnt care less. Good job I have it covered under a warranty, certainly get my monies worth from that!! I feel I may as well buy the cheapest washing machine going (definitely not Hotpoint) and replace it when something goes wrong.” UPDATE In Hotpoint's response they suggested contacting them if I needed further support and they gave a whats app number and live chat as options. I tried live chat first (TWICE) the first time for at least 15 minutes where you initially speak to a virtual assistant which is useless as they don't understand the question then you eventually get through to "Abubakar" who is just as senseless. So I gave up on that option. I did download the transcript. 7/7/25. The what's app number didn't answer and said the mailbox was full so leave a text message which I did, but I never received a response. Today is the 21/7/25. I'm sure Hotpoint just respond to bad reviews with these messages so as to appear they are not ignoring the review but in actual fact they don't want to discuss anything about there products with disgruntled customers. I bought a Hotpoint washing machine, delivered on 05/12/2023. I was refurbishing a house and it was installed and delivered (great delivery and install). It started getting used in May 2024 and has accomplished 16 washes (all good). It tripped my RCD last week and refuses to work. I called Hotpoint (who I bought it from directly) and they wanted a £172 call-out charge. I was then offered a monthly payment scheme with no guarantee of a fix, then another lower payment each month when I said I will get a Samsung with a 5 year warranty. I asked for a replacement and they said, "No." Do not buy their products is my advice. I thought it was a reputable company.

Absolutely dreadful company to deal with. Customer service like dealing with robots. Bought a frost free double fridge freezer for over £2000. 2 1/2 years ago. Now on our third replacement . Still problems. Keeps iceing up and engineer confirmed it's a common problem. Customer service refused to acknowledge it. Also refused to let me speak to a manager. STAY WELL AWAY.

I would never ever go with hotpoint. The machine arrived faulty from day it was installed. It took 2 months for me to get my money back. Meantime I paid for this washing machine and taking clothes to the laundry.The worst ever after purchase customer service. Pls do not buy hotpoint

A total disgrace, we ordered and paid for our new fridge one the 8th of January, we still haven't received ( the delivery time keeps getting pushed just before the delivery dates promised) and it's ongoing!

Do not under any circumstances buy a Hotpoint appliance. It really is that simple. Unfortunately if you're reading this review it's probably too late for you and you've bought something that's failed after a year - Like everyone else.

It feels like you are part of a comedy sketch engineer turned up to fix broken fridge with no spare parts phoned the help line to be told they don’t bring spare parts on first visit coming back in 10 days with part Meanwhile no fridge

End of Nov 2024 I purchased online a new Hotpoint washing machine NSWM 946 W UK which was delivered on 9 Dec 2024. Connecting the new machine was all done by Hotpoint staff. The machine worked fine for 18 days, and this morning, on the 19. day, at around 5am I switched the machine on for a 45 mins program and went to bed again. Some time later I woke up and saw a huge water leak on the floor under the left side of machine and the carpet in the corridor in front of the machine was also wet. I called Hotpoint Customer Service, they booked an engineer appointment for 6 Jan 2025. I am very disappointed about this new washing machine and the wait it takes for the engineer to come. Also, customer service are not very polite, and the web chat leads to nothing, they only give a phone number, when I called them I was told that they cannot answer the phone at this time. This obviously was the last time that I purchased a Hotpoint product. Never again in future.

When my dishwasher broken down, they gave me slot 2 weeks later. When I expressed my displeasure, they gave me wrong promise that they will have engineer visit in 1-2 days. When I try to call them, I have only machines. Only way to contact them is to submit a request as new customer - when I did that they said they have booked engineers visit for next day though no one showed up. When I contact whatsapp Chat, the person said there is not booked for me until 2 weeks.

Dishwasher had a drainage problem from day one. Engineer returned to fix it but needed a part which was then out of stock. Part arrived in stock weeks later but when the engineer returned, he said it was a corrosion issue (probably caused by the standing water) and that it was unrepairable. Hotpoint had the cheek to try and charge us for a replacement. I made a complaint but it was reviewed internally, i.e filed and ignored. Will never buy a Hotpoint product again as the after service was atrocious. Start to finish it took three months before Curries (Distributor) stepped in and arranged a replacement FOC.
