Do not under any circumstances buy a Hotpoint appliance. It really is that simple. Unfortunately if you're reading this review it's probably too late for you and you've bought something that's failed after a year - Like everyone else.

It feels like you are part of a comedy sketch engineer turned up to fix broken fridge with no spare parts phoned the help line to be told they don’t bring spare parts on first visit coming back in 10 days with part Meanwhile no fridge

End of Nov 2024 I purchased online a new Hotpoint washing machine NSWM 946 W UK which was delivered on 9 Dec 2024. Connecting the new machine was all done by Hotpoint staff. The machine worked fine for 18 days, and this morning, on the 19. day, at around 5am I switched the machine on for a 45 mins program and went to bed again. Some time later I woke up and saw a huge water leak on the floor under the left side of machine and the carpet in the corridor in front of the machine was also wet. I called Hotpoint Customer Service, they booked an engineer appointment for 6 Jan 2025. I am very disappointed about this new washing machine and the wait it takes for the engineer to come. Also, customer service are not very polite, and the web chat leads to nothing, they only give a phone number, when I called them I was told that they cannot answer the phone at this time. This obviously was the last time that I purchased a Hotpoint product. Never again in future.

When my dishwasher broken down, they gave me slot 2 weeks later. When I expressed my displeasure, they gave me wrong promise that they will have engineer visit in 1-2 days. When I try to call them, I have only machines. Only way to contact them is to submit a request as new customer - when I did that they said they have booked engineers visit for next day though no one showed up. When I contact whatsapp Chat, the person said there is not booked for me until 2 weeks.

Dishwasher had a drainage problem from day one. Engineer returned to fix it but needed a part which was then out of stock. Part arrived in stock weeks later but when the engineer returned, he said it was a corrosion issue (probably caused by the standing water) and that it was unrepairable. Hotpoint had the cheek to try and charge us for a replacement. I made a complaint but it was reviewed internally, i.e filed and ignored. Will never buy a Hotpoint product again as the after service was atrocious. Start to finish it took three months before Curries (Distributor) stepped in and arranged a replacement FOC.

Absolutely unacceptable service. Engineer from Hotpoint came to replace my heating element. On the first use, my kitchen flooded (which was not a problem before the visit). It has gone all under the machine, tripped my fuse and I cant move the machine. They cannot send anyone to sort it today. I have been waiting all day for a callback from the engineer and planning team and nothing! I have spent all afternoon calling and they cannot help me so I'm stuck!

Are you guys actually being for real. I have had 3 appointments within 2 weeks of telling them my fridge and freezer is completely broken. They failed to bring a replacement and keep wasting more time. Not efficient whatsoever.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I have experienced regarding appointment booking and repairs. My appointment has been canceled six times in a row for various reasons, including unavailable spare parts and the absence of an engineer. The customer service team has referred to these issues as "beyond their control," and all they can offer is to schedule a new appointment. At this point, it feels like I am simply waiting for the next cancellation so I can go through the frustrating process of rescheduling once again. This is simply unacceptable. I will not consider purchasing anything from this brand in the future!

Before replacing must have 3 failed repairs. What kind of policy is this? 6 month old fridge leaking water, broken door hinge and split seal. I was told there must be 3 failed attempts to fix the appliance before any other options (i.e. replace/refund) are considered. We have young children and have to have the fridge on max (power) to keep things around 6/7degress, whilst we wait for a new door to come in stock and be fitted, in the meantime water is coming out and filling a towel daily, damaging kitchen floor, skirting, door frame.

Hotpoint are scamming people with their 10 year parts warranty! The small print is you have to take out a monthly fee or pay then £144 engineer call out. They will not send you the part or allow you to fit it yourself! Avoid at all cost go with a company that offers 3 years parts and labour this is a con job they use a 3rd party to execute their scam.

I purchased a Hotpoint washing machine and within 4 weeks it had started leaking. I tried calling their customer service number but it often took over an hour and on one occasion their customer service rep hung up on me. When I did eventually get through I managed to get an engineer booked, but only 10 days later. He came, diagnosed the problem, but said they need to come back with the right part. I had to rebook another engineer, 10 days later. On the day of, the engineer called saying he couldn't find parking and would come back later. He didn't show up or answer his phone for the rest of the day. When I called up, no rep was available to speak to on the phone (a common occurrence) and I had to use the webchat. The livechat rep then said that they couldn't reach the engineer and that I had to rebook, 8 days later. So I am going to be without a washing machine for a whole month, and Hotpoint don't care. No compensation offered, no real apology.

They don’t deserve this one star. Most my apartment appliances are from hot point, not by choice, it came with it with ALL kind of rosey promises about guarantees and repairs. Absolute ripoff. Not a good company or appliances, there is always a fault with something and it costs the price of brand new ones to fix simple issues. Not impressed! DON’T buy hotpoint, pay a few more ££ with a better one to avoid the hassle. what a scam

Plastic Paddles fall off and expose a nasty spike that rips your clothes.check if the machine you intend to buy has plastic paddles on the drum.

Ordered and paid for item, clicked delivery day, all sorted so I thought. I then received a large number of emails and text messages asking to confirm my delivery day. It took nearly two hours to even log in their system, for something I'd already done. I did it again anyway. The day of the delivery comes. I awake to along voice message telling me to book my delivery day. Errr I'd already done that TWICE. So i email to double check my item was coming, and i was told 'we have no record of your delivery'. WTAF Refund me. I'll spend my money with a reputable company. Absolutely appalling service. Something so simple, yet they managed to mess it up. Can you imagine the hassle if something went wrong with the item. GO ELSEWHERE

Our washing machine broke nearly a month ago, and Hotpoint have still not repaired it. An engineer was due to attend on 31 January, but arrived 3 hours late, took a photo of our front door and then said we weren't in - he never knocked or rang the bell. Nobody from Hotpoint has apologised or sought to resolve the fact I have been without a washing machine for 4 weeks, and keep telling me an engineer attended so there's nothing they can do. The next available date they can give me an appointment is 14 February. A truly dreadful experience from a bunch of lying hucksters. Avoid.

Service, warranty and product don't hold up to their promises. 6 year (bought for 600euro)old washing machine broken down twice with major issues since purchase, first time machine was only 3 years old when the whole panel went. It was very difficult to get the free part warranty they promised but got it at the end with a lot of hassle and 3 months wait. Second time around they have no record of my warranty or first time fixing. Would never buy of this brand again.

Do not waste your time and money on their appliances. Bought a cooker broke down within months of purchase. Sent an engineer who fixed it and has since been a regular visitor to my house since last May. Fixed again yesterday then broke down literally in front of him and have now been told I have to wait another two weeks for parts and an appointment. I totally gave up yesterday and went out and purchased a new replacement. Spent hours on the phone trying to talk to someone and just got pushed from pillar to post. Hotpoint want nothing to do with it and refuse to help saying they can only offer repairs. I've asked for a partial refund so I could put it towards the new one but you guessed it they can't do that either. Absolute shambles of a company and will not be buying hotpoint ever again. Company only interested in lining their own pockets

Purchased a dishwasher in August direct from Hotpoint. This was installed by Hotpoint. The staff did not connect the waste hose and this caused a wide flood in our kitchen. Hotpoint passed us to their insurer who have still not resolved matters three months later. To make matters worse the dishwasher packed in today. I suspect that they have damaged it on installation which has resulted in it to break so young in its life. Hotpoint cannot get out to us to inspect for some weeks leaving us with no working product. Over £3000 worth of damage and no working dishwasher. Staff have no sympathy. To make it worse, it broke leaving an electrical smell. I am now scared it could catch fire. But thats ok.... Hotpoint were told and seem disinterested as to the risk. All I now want is damage fixed and a refund.

My order was placed through Appliances Direct on 29th Dec who originally told me that delivery would be 31st Dec.The same day i received a text from Hotpoint who told me delivery would be 6th January!!!.Not impressed with Appliances Direct and asked for refund of priority delivery charge.They refunded half!Delivery by Hotpoint on 6th Jan was first class.The delivery driver unpacked the drier and removed all of the packing.He then put it in place for me to start using.I would totally recommend this excellent service.
