I signed up for the Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan Explorer with Indus Travels because I wanted something different something off the usual tourist path. And wow, was it the right choice! From the start, everything was handled so smoothly. Shubham helped me with all the details, and I felt completely at ease even before I left home. Once on the ground, the trip exceeded every expectation. Uzbekistan absolutely stole my heart. Samarkand’s madrasahs were breathtaking, and that dinner with a local family in Bukhara sharing homemade food, music, and laughter was a memory I’ll treasure forever. Then came Turkmenistan, which felt like stepping onto another planet. One day I was wandering the ruins of Merv, the next I was riding the world’s tallest indoor Ferris wheel in Ashgabat. Surreal doesn’t even begin to describe it. What I loved most is that this isn’t a “casual, touristy” trip. You truly feel like you’re peeling back layers of history and discovering cultures you didn’t even know existed. The people were humble, welcoming, and showed me the real meaning of hospitality. Indus Travels made it possible for me to have an adventure that was both unique and stress-free. For anyone who wants to see the world beyond the usual, I can’t recommend them enough.
