I ordered a dress on Monday the 31st of May. First time using the site. When I ordered and selected my size it said the item was in stock (in that particular size) and when I went through checkout they gave me the option of Next day delivery for an extra £5.99 fee. I needed the dress for an event on the 5th June and this was the reason I ordered as it said I could have next working day delivery. Now this was bank holiday Monday so I assumed my item would be dispatched on the following day and I would receive it on the Wednesday, still plenty of time for my event on Saturday considering I had paid an extra fee for next working day delivery, but Wednesday and Thursday came without even a notification or email and when I checked my account it said my order status was ‘processing’ so I emailed asking if my order would be dispatched that day on the Thursday as I had paid for next day delivery and I was met with an automated email saying someone would get back to me within 48 hours. During this time I received another generic email stating that there were delays on some items coming into their warehouse and they apologised and said they would get the items out as quickly as possible. I also received another email from a customer service agent stating they were experiencing transportation issues meaning there was a delay in items coming into their warehouse. I replied asking if I would receive a refund for the £5.99 I paid for express next day delivery and again I received a generic email saying someone would get back to me in 48 hours. My event came and went on the Saturday and I still hadn’t heard anything about the dress. Then on Sunday 6th of May I received another email from a customer service agent telling me that the reason my order hasn’t been dispatched is because I ordered a pre order item which is completely untrue. The item stated it was ‘in stock’ when I ordered and it offered me next working day delivery so why would it have been a pre order item, plus also she completely contradicted what the previous email had stated! So one minute I’m ordering an ‘in stock’ item, paid for next day delivery and then I’m being told sorry there’s a delay and then it’s apparently because I ordered a pre order item?! Plus they completely ignored my request for a refund for ‘next day delivery’ considering I paid for a service I didn’t receive. It’s now the 8th of June and I’m still none the wiser as to when I’m receiving my item.
